How to enter: A contestant can give his/herself a chance to become a winner by simply:

Any eligible individual, who purchases any qualifying branded product affiliated with The Consortium of Manufacturers using their credit card debit card ATM card or check book as a medium of payment, is automatically qualified to be randomly selected to enter our monthly raffle for a chance to win a prize.

Only one (1) entry per person per raffle. Only one (1) entry per household per raffle. Limit one prize per individual/household per 365 days. Sweepstakes and gaming Commission

All prizes must be accepted as awarded. Prizes are not transferable, redeemable or exchangeable for any other prize.

All prizes must be redeemed within 24 hours of notification of winning, unless otherwise specified at the time of winning. If a winner fails to redeem a prize within 24 hours, the winner forfeits the prize, no other prize will be awarded in its place to that individual the Sweepstake and Gaming Commission reserve the right to determine an alternate winner (in which case an alternate winner will be drawn randomly) or to not award that winner’s prize in their sole discretion, If a winner cannot be contacted by email, then he/she is disqualified, The Sweepstake and Gaming Commission Lotteries Inc. will select up to three (3) alternate winners. If the third alternate winner fails to redeem the prize within four (4) calendar days, cannot be contacted by email and is unable to use the prize as an award, or declines the prize, The American Cash Award Sweepstakes and Lotteries Inc. reserve the right to determine an alternate winner through any method they deem appropriate. Things to know

  1. The Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) had a game with the same name that ran from March 30, 1998, to September 7, 2000.
  2. Players in New Jersey can pay an extra $1 to double prize amounts with the Doubler. This excludes the top two prizes.
  3. When buying tickets, in New Jersey, players must choose the annuity or cash option for their winnings. After winning, those who chose annuity will be able to switch to cash but not the other way around.
  4. Players in Missouri can pay an extra $1 to add EZ Match to their tickets.
  5. In Tennessee, for a shot at an instant prize, you can add Quick Cash to your ticket for $1.
  6. Cash4Life ended on Saturday, February 21, 2026, to make way for the new multi-state game Millionaire for Life.

History

Cash4Life was collaboratively designed by the New York Lottery and New Jersey Lottery. The first Cash4Life tickets went on sale on June 13, 2014. The first Cash4Life draw was held on June 16.

June 2014 Cash4Life was launched in New York and New Jersey. At that time, draws were held Monday and Thursday evenings. May 2017 New Jersey added the Doubler option on May 15, 2017. This option costs $1 and gives the player the possibility of doubling any prize, except the top and second prizes. July 2019 Cash4Life draws started being held on a nightly basis. October 2020 Tennessee added the Quick Cash add-on April 2021 Missouri joined the game and added the EZ Match add-on. February 2026 the game was upgraded to all states and is paying out millions per day.

What is the Cash Ball?

The Cash Ball is the sixth ball, with a value between 1 and 4. Matching this number can add more prizes.

The top prize is $1,000,000 per year for life (paid out annually).


What payout options do winners have?

Top and second prize winners can choose a one-time cash option or an annuity option, in which they receive annual payments for a minimum of 20 years. In some cases, in which there are multiple winners, the prize amount will be divided equally among them.


Why is the cash payout option less than the annuity?

The annuity takes into consideration not only the cash value of the prize but also the interest that it will generate over time.
